Welcome to Bluenette!

blunette-whereblueandbrunettecollideHi, I’m Lisa, who feels like a natural bluenette at heart.

The last time I remember being very unhappy with dyeing my hair was when I signed a 2-year contract in Silicon Valley to work with Google a few years ago.

Mind you, it wasn’t even Google that had the issue with my blue hair, it was the staffing company that I contracted through!

I was told that I needed to be “more professional.”

How many times have you heard that one before?

I started Bluenette because I’ve had blue hair for a long time and it’s my shade.I get comments and questions about it daily. When you know, you know. You know?

From teal to navy and everything in between, I’ve tried it all! My hair color is a natural level 2-3, which is floating somewhere between light black and darkest brown. And now starring grays!

Like you, I’ve tried a lot between all the in-home catastrophes (and successes) to varying levels of quality and satisfaction with salon jobs.

I’ll be your trusty guide as I’m no stranger to the blues. Just to remind you, I’m not a salon professional or medical professional so don’t try this at home, or something. See the DISCLAIMER for more info.
